India Vs New Zealand:What can we Expect?

India will be playing a ODI and T-20 series against New Zealand from tomorrow i.e 22 October.This blog is about the the various possibilities and predictions about the ODI series.



Starting with the squads
India              :Virat Kohli(c), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey,                                  Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep                                   Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur 

New Zealand :Martin Guptill, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson(c), Ross Taylor, Colin de                                             Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Trent Boult, Matt Henry,                           Colin Munro, Glenn Phillips, George Worker, Henry Nicholls, Ish Sodhi

Talking about Indian team the biggest misses are Mohommad Shami and Umesh Yadav.Now this is very risky miss that BCCI has decided to give to the two fast bowlers.I am really not sure how this will affect the confidence of the two bowlers.It is very necessary to keep up with these two pacers as they were the ones who were the strike bowlers during the World Cup 2015.Jadeja and Ashwin had to be missed out because Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are bowling well.One more surprise was missing K.L. Rahul.He was with the team for quiet sometime but now the BCCI has instructed him to play Domestic cricket and perform well there and comeback.Dinesh Kartik is a perfect eample of this idealogy.Overall the Indian team is much stronger on paper.
New Zealand team is a bit inefficient in the subcontinent conditions.Star players like Martin Guptil have a very poor record in India.Kane Willamson,the captain of New Zealand is the star player and has to carry the burden of the whole team.Ross Taylor needs to come out as a senior player and perform well.The bowling duo of Tim Southee and Trent Boult is the best opening pair in the world at present.But after that there is no one to complement them.The new players in New Zealand need to perform extremely well to make this series exciting.
Finally I believe that India should see this series to make the team more stable with the likes of Dinesh Kartik and Shardul Thakur.For New Zealand it would be more like finding a new fresh talent for the team.Hence the senior players need to take the burden of the team.
I believe this series would be an exciting encounter with India having an upper edge.

The 17th edition of the football world cup is going to start from 6 October and is going to be hosted in India for the first time.This blog is about this mega event and various possibilities and chances of teams especially Indian team.
