Who is better Sachin or Virat?

The hot Question since past three years is Who is a better player Sachin or Virat?

                             Sachin Tendulkar                                                        Virat Kohli

Well its not easy to compare two people of two different generations but it still can be done because of the fact that both of them have played with each other for good 3-4 years.
Lets compare both of them on different aspects-:
1.      Time periods:  When we compare the periods when these two played then they are extremely different. Sachin made his debut at a time when India was emerging as a cricketing country, when we were not the best in any of the things. Sachin came as a hope as to we could say that we have someone who is the best. Whereas Virat Kohli came at a time when India was pretty much a cricketing super power, thanks to the FAB FIVE i.e. Sachin,Saurav,Dravid,Laxman and Kumble. Hence Sachin emerged and performed at a very difficult time as compared to Virat.
2.      Talent and Technique : No doubt both the players are extremely talented but when it comes to technique Sachin is a winner hands down. Virat is playing at a time where there is nothing much for the bowlers. Pitches are flat and suited for batsman and hence Virat is having a great time but when Sachin used to play there existed something called green top wicket which is extinct today. He has faced the most successful duo of Wasim-Waqar. Despite of such conditions he has been extremely successful which speaks about his technique.
3.      Performance outside Subcontinent : When it comes to subcontinent pitches both have been good but when we talk about outside subcontinent particularly in test cricket things are very different. Sachin has some brilliant knocks in South Africa, Australia, England where as Virat has a poor run outside India. If we take out one Australia tour where he became the test captain, his records are very poor and do not justify the respect and position where he is batting(Sachin also used to bat at number four).  Although in one-day cricket Virat has performed really well outside subcontinent also.
4.      Overall cricketer/sportsperson : Sachin also was a leg spinner and was pretty good whereas Virat is just a batsman but when it comes to fielding undoubtedly Virat is much better. Sportsperson comparison also includes behavior on and off the field. Sachin was a motivation for all the cricketers and sportsmen around the world. But Virat has a very poor image when it comes to this topic and hence is disliked by many critics but liked by media(you know why).
5.      Records and numbers : Sachin is a cricketing legend and holds almost all records. When we compare Virat’s records when his age was equal to Sachin he definitely has an edge or speaking truly Virat is also a king of records. But when you are playing on flat pitches that too with so many fielding restrictions and also most of the time in subcontinent, you will probably have these records(though I take nothing away from Virat). But if you loose on above four then probably winning the last one does not really matter.
Virat is a good player but I still believe he gets a big advantage of flat pitches and field restrictions. His one day record is amazing and unmatchable and may even break Sachin’s record of most number of hundreds in one day games but he really needs to improve on test cricket to even make this comparison interesting. I believe that bastmen like Steve Smith, Joe Root, Kane Willamson, Hashim Amla , AB De Villers are better than Virat because they score runs like Virat but on much difficult pitches.  Any how I believe Virat is one of the most consistent players the world has ever produced(at least in one day cricket).
What to talk of Sachin, he has been praised for so many years for his batting as well as his behavior. Virat should definitely learn the latter part.

Finally I do not think Bharat Ratna can be given to any other cricketer than Sachin because he is definitely a Gem for our country.

Ashes 2017:The clash of the Titans

The most awaited test series of the year,Ashes is back with Australia and England battling one more time. This blog about the team analysis of both the teams and who stands a better chance this time. This year's Ashes series is a very different contest all together. Both the teams have a bunch of new players and debutants. This makes the series even more interesting.Talking about the visitors i.e England, the whole batting line up revolves aroung two players Alaister Cook and Joe Root. The whole team is a lot more dependant on these two players. The top order of England having the likes of  Mark Stoneman,David Malan,James Vince is difficult to predict as these players don't have much experience. But the strength lies in the lower middle order of England where there is Moeen Ali,Jonny Bairstow. Both these players have a decent average of 35+.But it would be intersting to see how Moeen Ali plays in the fast and bouncy pitches of Australia. He got exposed to short balls when England ...

Who will win the U.S Open 2017?

U.S Open 2017 is all set to see its 137th champion. The withdrawl of many contenders have made this edition much more interesting. This blog discusses the major contenders of this championship this year. The biggest talking point in this year's U.S Open is who will play the finals rather than who will win the U.S Open. This is probably the first time that Nadal and Federer are placed in the same half of the draw in the absence of Djokovic and Murray.Defending champion Stanlas Wawrinka has also pulled out of the U.S Open due to injury. This means the top half is packed with many former U.S Open champions like Del Potro along with Federer and Nadal.Hence the one who advances from the top half is expected to win the championship.Bottom half has some good players like Cilic,Sam Querry,Zverev,Tsonga but Tsonga and Zverev have already been knocked out of tournament. The bottom half is expected to have such upsets because none of these players have been consistent in grand slam events...

ATP World Tour Finals 2017:As it happened

The most dramatic tournament of the year ended up with debutant Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria winning this tournament for the very first time. This blog is the analysis of this tournament. Nobody in this world would have predicted Dimitrov to win the ATP World tour finals this year. But he suprised everyone by defeating David Goffin of Belgium to clinch this title at his very first attempt.I really do not think this have ever happened in the past. The tournament was a roller coaster ride.First of all Nadal had to pull out from this tournament in the league stage itself which gave Pablo Custa a surprise entry to the championship. It was also the first time semi finals was contested with three debutants.Above all Dimitrov winning the championship.Roger Federer who was expected to win the championship in the semi finals after losing to David Goffin inthe semifinals. The way Goffin played against Federer it was predicted that he would eventually win the tournament. But in the finals Dimit...
