India Vs New Zealand:The major takeaways

The India New Zealand ODI series ended with a cracker of a contest in Kanpur. This blog is about the key takeaways from this series.

As expected the Inia New Zealand series was a very exciting series.India managed to come back pretty well after loosing the first ODI in Mumbai.
The best performer in the series was Virat Kohli with two hundreds in a three match series. He went past Ricky Ponting in most number of ODI hundreds and stands only behind the great Sachin Tendulkar. The next performer was Dinesh Kartik.A 37 in the first ODI and a 64 in the second,he surely has overcome his habit of hurrying and giving his wicket. His two not out innings must have given him some confidence.Among bowlers it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah.Especially in the last ODI Bumrah was great. He got his length correct in the most pressure situation.
Among disappointments were Shikhar Dhawan.Just a 68 in the second ODI.Let me tell you he is playing in place of Rahane and KL Rahul. He has been struggling against left arm fast bowlers. He has played three matches and now I wonder how would he play in presence of Rahane and Rahul.
Now wgat about New Zealand?I think they played well. The almost won the series but only before India pounced back strongly. There is just one thing about New Zealand, they have played very well but they are just lacking on small places.Possibly they are in need of a match winnr who makes them win close and important matches. This also makes me remember there last year's visit where the last match bcame the deciding one.
Finally I believe that this was a very fruitful series. The have atlest found an alternative to Dhoni,y which I nowhere mean Dhoni should not play. But it is always good to have options.

It is so disheartening that there have been not one but three incidents in past one week which have put a dark spot on cricket which is considered a gentleman's game.To start with the ugliest 1.The ball-tampering scandal This tampering was done during the third test match between Australia and South Africa. The whole Australian team was involved in ball tampering. This is not the first ball tampering incident but this is the first time when the whole team is involved in ball tampering which also includes the coach. It also started when the two on-field umpires called Cameron Bancroft in suspicion of tampering the ball. But he said that he had a sunglass cleaner which he used to clean his sunglasses and not tamper the ball. But later in the day vi
